About the Event

NEXT SUNSET CIRCLE: You are invited to experience a Death Meditation on Wednesday, August 11. ‘Recollection of death’ is a powerful practice, inviting us to face our fears and remember our mortality. Buddhists call this practice maranasati, which translates into ‘death awareness’. To shine light on death is to become aware of life. You are invited to settle in, get physically comfortable, and follow a guided meditation led by Maggie. This is NOT: a religious ritual, a morbid practice, or an activity intended to make us all sad. This IS: an invitation to deeper awareness of your own life, death, and mortality in a compassionate, supportive, and inquisitive environment. Attendance does not require any preparation. PLEASE NOTE: This practice requires a sense of stability of mind. If you have experienced trauma or depression or are otherwise uncertain about participation, please contact me at:

How to participate:

2. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the week's resources as well as the Zoom link for the meeting.

***NOTE: Both the subject and 'sender' of the email confirmation will be "Weekly Sunset Circle: A Death Meditation". Check your inbox!***
