Last night we discussed the factors that played into our decisions about how much information we want or don't want when it comes to our health and prognosis. This trailer of the movie "The Farewell" poses an interesting question in regards to a terminal diagnosis: How much do you want to know? The movie centers on a Chinese-rooted family (with several family members living in other countries) who decides together, with her healthcare team, to withhold from the matriarch her diagnosis of lung cancer. There are different legal and ethical guidelines that are required and adhered to in the United States, but the questions remain: how much you want to know, why, and what would you do with the information?
