I read a Voice of the People letter in the Trib this morning which heralded NATIONAL HEALTHCARE DECISION DAY - APRIL 16. It underscores the importance of having an Advance Directive. Please consider acting on this for yourselves, for your loved ones. Everyone over the age of 18 should have an Advance Directive. The writer states, "If you don't have advance directive completed, you risk health care providers and loved ones making difficult decisions that perhaps don't reflect your wishes".
Maggie is currently conducting a Five Wishes Workshop; Five Wishes is a legally binding Living Will in most states. Her experience as a nurse and the research she has completed brings a whole new dimension and understanding to interpreting this important document.
Spread the word! Notify Maggie if you're interested in a Five Wishes Workshop; I know future ones are in the works. Even if you've completed it, revisit it under her guidance. You'll be surprised at the things you learn about yourself!
thanks, Kate. I'll be promoting April 16 as well as trying to reach as many as I can about Maggie's offerings.
