About the Event

Solstice: The night of December 21 is the longest and darkest night of the year. In many traditions, this time of year symbolizes death and rebirth. It is a time of deep reflection. This week, we honor this time of year and go inward. In Bonnie Ware’s “Five Regrets of the Dying”, one of the regrets she notes patients have at the end of life is: “I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”

Looking inside, what does it mean to be true to yourself, to be authentic and integrous? What are times when you have had to make a difficult choice but stayed true to yourself? Are there things that historically have been obstacles to staying true to yourself? What kind of deaths and births have you experienced this year? What have you let go of, and what of the new have you let in? Turning inward, listen.
