Virtual Reality and Hospice

Virtual reality (VR)- what??? Video games at the end of life? Not quite. There is a growing body of research investigating the impact of virtual reality in palliative care  and hospice - with beneficial results. From reducing pain to helping people cross things off their bucket list (skydiving, anyone?), virtual reality has the potential to engage our senses and transport us to places of our choosing. What does the research show? What are possible benefits? Risks? Limitations? What do YOU think?
