About the Event

One of the last remaining senses at the end of life is the sense of touch. We might be able to identify on a personal level how touch can assist in calming us, how it can stimulate, or make us comfortable or uncomfortable. How can we use the sense of touch to communicate, soothe, and provide comfort in life and at the end of life? When bodies have experienced a lifetime of joys and traumas, what must we consider with touch at the end of life, particularly when one may not be able to communicate or provide feedback? You don't have to be an expert, but it helps to learn from one. This week, join special guest Maria Marcusson, registered hospice nurse, death doula, and massage therapist, who will share stories, experiences, and expertise to guide us in answering these questions.
