About the Event
NEXT SUNSET CIRCLE: "Thanatophobia" is the intense fear of death. Most people have what could be considered a healthy fear of death. But what is it about death that we actually fear? Is it the dying process? The unknown? The fear of not having lived a good life? Of what happens after we die? Is the fear so intense that it effects daily life in a profoundly negative way? Examining what it is we fear about death can be very useful. Fear is itself an emotion of great utility. This week, we discuss broadly the fear of death and zero in on what that might really mean for us. Registration includes a link to an article to get us primed and ready for discussion, but is not required for participation.
How to participate:
1. Choose an option below.
2. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the week's resources as well as the Zoom link for the meeting.
***NOTE: Both the subject and 'sender' of the email confirmation will be "Weekly Sunset Circle: The Fear of Death". Check your inbox!***
3. Arrive a few minutes early to ensure all technology is working properly.
